Reepa Shah, MD

Dr. Reepa Shah joined Women to Women, P.C. in August, 2010, after practicing in Reston VA for the last several years.  She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, having completed residency at George Washington University Hospital in 2005. Prior to that, she had completed a prestigious 7-year Combined Medical Degree Program at Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Lauda with dual bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and Comparative Religion, as well as her MD Degree. She has also completed an NIH research fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology, with several publications on female hormonal changes in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and about the menopausal transition phase of life. During residency, she had also done research on endometriosis, and chronic pelvic pain.

Professionally, Dr. Shah is trained in offering all aspects of Obstetric and Gynecologic care, from hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeries, to high risk pregnancies and deliveries. She enjoys developing a relationship with her patients through every phase of woman hood, from puberty, through pregnancies, and on past menopause. Her focus in this special partnership is not just in the diagnosis and treatment of illness, but rather on a woman’s health and well-being throughout life. She particularly enjoys performing minimally invasive surgeries, and working with PCOS and infertility patients. Dr. Shah was recently named a Northern Virginia “TOP DOC”, with special recognition for her maternity care.

When not at work, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young sons, as well as running, skiing, traveling, and visiting her family in New York and Michigan.
